REBB:  ERROR:  Restore failed(err=500);  IDE-style message from Build Services:

        'Message 00500 not found'

Resolution

The files are in all probability SMS managed and shrinks the file’s original allocation. Please look at the system log messages from SMS to review if the file was intercepted by SMS. You will see the original allocation is shrunk to far less than is required once the file is utilized. Sometimes “empty” files that are allocated in one step of a process are not fully used and SMS will shrink the allocation.

Dsn.whatever..BIN

Remove the file from the SMS class that reduces the size of the file (to a non-SMS volume) or alter the allocation in the class to not shrink the original requested allocation of the file
