LDAP SERVER FOR Z/OS

Issue/Introduction

How to improve the policy of WLM to accommodate it to the current CICS, DB2, TSO environments? What would be the best service class definition for LDAP SERVER for Z/OS with RACF?

Environment

Release : 15.1

Component : LDAP Server for z/OS

Resolution

The address spaces for CA LDAP Server should have comparable WLM priority settings as the host External Security Manager(ESM), in this case RACF.  After making the appropriate change so the priorities are comparable, if there are any performance issues please provide the following additional diagnostics.

  1. A dump of the WLM address space.  If you need help with this let us know and we can walk you through the procedure.
  2. The report displaying the heappools at the end of the ldap stderr file when ldap is stopped.  To enable this report if this information isn't already displayed you need to set rptstg(on) on the _CEE_RUNOPTS variable in the slapd.env.

Note: CA LDAP Server does not do any dynamic reallocation of any WLM settings.
