Unable to uninstall Notification Server (NS), all NS Solutions, and the Symantec Installation Manager (SIM)

Issue/Introduction

Unable to uninstall all NS products listed in the Symantec Installation Manager (SIM) and then uninstall SIM itself.  Most products are successfully uninstalled through SIM but three remain with "Product is not properly configured" messages.

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Resolution

Resolved this by going to  Add/Remove Programs (Programs & Features or Apps & Features) and removed "Symantec Platform and Solutions".

Another option for Solutions that will not uninstall is to go to the following folder which should have all the installer .MSI files and select the .MSIs for an problem Solutions and see if these will allow you to uninstall them:

C:\Program Files\Altiris\Symantec Installation Manager\Installs\Altiris
