ORA-12514, Error connecting with connection parameters

Issue/Introduction

Getting below error while trying to do data masking via TDM PORTAL version-4.10.82.0.

Connection error: java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12514, TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor , Error connecting with connection parameters

Getting this only on our DEV server , tried to run from our UAT server with TDM PORTAL version-4.10.56.0 and it is working fine.

Tried with two different oracle connections (two different environments) and getting same error on DEV server.

No change to the connection profiles.

Cause

This has been observed in versions >= 4.10.78.

It is because, in previous versions, the delimiter attribute present in "Additional Connection Properties" field was ignore but now it is being considered and added as part of connection string.

Resolution

The solution is to edit the connection profile and remove the value "DelimitIdentifier='NO'" from Additional Connection Properties field.

L2 team has been notified of this behavior and may release a fix in a future patch build.
