Issue/Introduction

There is a huge event rate, hence when trying to shut down the Archive Manager it is taking time - Waiting for 318519 pending database writes to complete

Environment

Release : 21.2

Component : Spectrum Alarm

Cause

It has a backlog of events to insert into the DDM database

Resolution

Contact Broadcom support and request Spectrum_21.02.12.PTF_21.2.1201 patch.

Implemented async mysql event inserts, which allows mysqld to insert the events much more efficiently

Symptom: ArchMgr occasionally can take a long time to shutdown, as it has a backlog of events to insert into the DDM database.
Resolution: Implemented async MySQL event inserts, which allows mysqld to insert the events much more efficiently. (DE536405, 33124029, 22.2.3)
