Issue/Introduction

What is the process to clear storage in common storage and private/virtual storage using SYSVIEW.

Environment

SYSVIEW 15.0 & 16.0 & 17.0 -

Resolution

The only way to clear storage is using the MOVE or ALTER sub-commands form the DUMP display, but you can't modify a large area at once.

For example, the customer can DUMP address 01000000, then use MOVE to move zeros into that location.
