Issue/Introduction

What is needed, as far as security is concerned, to issue a command from the Open Edition (OE) Console? I have SECURITY and have tried NON-CNCL and OPERATOR privileges on my logonid, but they do not allow me to issue commands.

Environment

Release:
Component: ACF2MS

Resolution

The OE Console needs the same authority that the MCS Console requires. In ACF2, that would be the CONSOLE privilege. To add that, issue a change command to the logonid needing the authority.

CHANGE logonid CONSOLE

Anytime a privilege bit is added or removed from an ACF2 logonid, a logoff and logon is required to implement the change.
