Cisco Environmental Alarms are not showing in Spectrum

Below Cisco Environmental Alarms are not showing in spectrum,

Cause

This ip did not appear in the alert manager debug which means that this ip did not send any alert to Spectrum.

You need to discuss with the device owner why or with Cisco why these traps are not being sent to Spectrum e.g.

• is trap sending turned on for these devices and these alarms in particular
• ensure that the alarms are sent to the correct SS where the device is modeled
• Are devices and Spectrum using default trap port of 162?

Resolution

These alarms contained in the Cisco-ENVMON-mib.

The customer will ask Cisco, which mib the environmental traps and functionality is defined in. If it is not the ENVMON mib that we looked at, please get the correct mib from them and we can import it.  

 

We need to enable alarms for the events in red. This is done from the OC console - tools tab - utilities - event configuration.

When the interface opens, filter on the event on the bottom left - marked in yellow below. Then on the alarm tab (in yellow) change the alarm severity to what you wish. Currently NONE means no alarm is sent for this event.
