Issue/Introduction

Does SCM Harvest Client 14.0.2 works together with Server 14.0 /14.01 ?

And further on with Agent 14.0/14.0.1?

Environment

Harvest  14.0 and higher

 

Resolution

It is not possible to connect from higher client to lower level server.

Server version can be at higher level. For ex: V14 server can be connected from V13.0.3/4 client (workbench as an example)

Generally servers are upgraded first and clients being many are rolled out/upgraded in phases/cycles.

To enable this transition activity and for short term ,this backward compatibility is supported.

The general recommendation is always all the harvest components need to be at same level for best performance.
