Transformation failure post upgrade from 12.0 to 14.0 and Java Transformers

Issue/Introduction

Some transformations are failing with the following symptoms:

ESF4110 File   2002 queued for A2PC Transformation                            
ESF371  JOB FILE   2002 (013600) (JOB /DELIVER ) TO PRT1 RECEIVED
ESF4113 File   2002 - X2YY failed, RC=08                                      
ESF4132 File   2002 JOB (PRT1/DELIVER ) A2PC Transformation failed   

The transformation report may show errors like below:

ERROR.Job-1021.Error encountered in component AFP Parser of class afpparser, detail:- Error Cannot switch to Datamap(XXXXX) 

 

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : Spool

Cause

Files don't have the PAGEDEF attribute set. The PAGEDEF name is being set in the FCB attribute.

Resolution

The C Transformers use the FCB as PAGEDEF by default.
With the Java Transformers the following parameter must be set in the CAIQENVA member;

# Use the FCB name as the PAGEDEF if PAGEDEF is not specified
D2E_DEFAULT_PAGEDEF=FCB 

Then recycle the Java Transformer started task with the command /HT and /ST
