Will WSS Agent install on older versions of Windows 10?

Issue/Introduction

WSS Agent 6.x originally installed on Windows 10 hosts version 1809 and 1909.

Planning to upgrade these agents to the new WSSA 8.1.1 in our production machines but WSS Agent 8.x only supported with Windows 10 19H2 and later.

Can you confirm whether the installation checks the minimum supported OS, or whether the install will complete destpire the version?

Cause

Must comply with supported OS versions per WSS Agent release.

Resolution

The WSS Agent does check the OS version during install time, and any version that falls outside the supported versions will trigger the install to stop.
