Issue/Introduction
A new custom exception page has been created on one SG but needs to be manually exported and imported into another SG.
Cause
You may not have Management Center to make the job easier. So manually syncing up the exception pages on the SG's is necessary.
Resolution
On the SG with the updated exceptions, go to Configuration/Policy/Exceptions:
- Select Text Editor from the drop-down menu in the "Install Exceptions Definitions from ____" field
- Click the Install button
- Once the text editor pops up, click your mouse pointer in the box
- Select-all (Ctrl-A)
- Copy (Ctrl-C)
- Follow the same steps as above on the SG that needs to be updated, except for copying (Ctrl-C)
- Paste the contents from the updated exceptions definitions into this text editor (Ctrl-V)
- Click Install
- It is a good idea to also paste the updated exception definitions contents to a text file to save it as a backup
