PAM behavior on activation of the user deactivation email feature

Issue/Introduction

After our recent upgrade to 4.0.1 we now have new settings under Global Settings > Accounts related to email notifications to PAM users that are about to be disabled due to inactivity, or are getting disabled. We are particularly interested in how the latter works, setting

Email After Deactivation

 

 

Will activating this feature cause emails to all users that currently are deactivated, or only notify users that are deactivated after the feature is enabled?

Resolution

The email notification task on user deactivation only sends email notifications to users that are deactivated by the task. It does not send emails to users that had been deactivated prior to the notifications being enabled.
