Top Secret LDAP SERVER FOR Z/OS Top Secret - LDAP

Issue/Introduction

Performance concern with TSSLDAP on the test machine. Users could not logon in the early morning.
LU07090 & LU05552 was applied yesterday, and does not appear that either has anything to do with this problem, but need to confirm.
No dump was captured.

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : LDAP SERVER FOR Z/OS

Resolution

Fixes LU07090 & LU05552 have nothing to do with the performance problem and LDAP hanging.

The culprit is that LDAP was started with debug on and left on causing the LDAP slow down(hang) and why it needed to be canceled.    Changing the JCL to specify DEBUG=0 will turn off LDAP tracing and help ease the strain.

To immediately turn off the TRACE by specifying DEBUG=0, a Modify Set Command can be issued:

Issue the following commands to change the server's current debug level to the new value.
This change takes effect immediately without having to stop and restart the server.
F[jobname.]identifier,SET,DEBUG,value F[jobname.]identifier,SET,DEBUG,ANY,-PACKETS
