SSDB Database cannot start SpectroServer after crash and restore

Issue/Introduction

After a crash of the SSDB, we restored the last good backup, deleted the .VNMDB.LOCK from the SS directory and started the SS but get this message no mater which db we restore. The SSDB can be restored on another lab so the db is okay.

ERROR: This application has been started using a Spectrum database 
which was not gracefully closed.  The application will now shut down 
to allow you to load and initialize a previously-saved good database.

Could not open the database. VNM exiting.

Resolution

We moved the SSDB from SS-DB-BACKUP folder to the SS folder and reran the restore and restarted the SS successfully.

from the SS directory

/usr/Spectrum/SS
../SS-Tools/SSdbload -il  <SAVE_FILE>
