Directory discrepancies updating Apache Tomcat 9.0.62 - Web Viewer 12.1 USS

Issue/Introduction

After updating to Apache Tomcat 9.0.62 into our OM Web Viewer 12.1 USS environment.

A couple issues since the update:

• Attempts to log into CA Web Viewer 12.1 result in a 're-direction' to the Apache Tomcat website.

• A number of missing components in the 9.0.62 'webapps' directory  

The two failures noted in the install log:

Plus, the log doesn't seem to be complete 

Environment

Release : 12.1

Component : OUTPUT MANAGEMENT WEB VIEWER FOR ALL PLATFORMS

Cause

Either the install didn't complete, or it stopped logging.

Resolution

for whatever unknown reason, the console updater is not running correctly on this USS/z/OS 2.4 system. Had to manually copy the WAR files and other directory contents to the proper locations under Tomcat 9.0.62. 

Tomcat was recycled and Web Viewer 12.1.6.225 came up successfully under Tomcat 9.0.62. All was running well.
