Some VMs missing the host connections in DX OI Services

Issue/Introduction

We created a number of services in DX OI and for some we are able to see the host connections for the VMs, for most we are unable to see the information being presented.  We have looked at the apm_bridge and oi_connector probes and do not see anything that stands out as a cause.  We have verified that the hosts which house the VMs are showing up in OC, just not making connections in DX OI.

Resolution

We reviewed an OI service which is showing all inventory items (both VMs and host connections).

We also reviewed another OI service which is not showing host connections inventory items for the VMs. The VMs inventory items are showing.

Both OI services are built same way by selecting the UIM group as an attribute and adding the name of the group.

We did the auto discovery and it seems to discuss the missing host connections inventory items. We did on couple of OI services and this seems to work good.
