Issue/Introduction

It is not possible to save the Totals column for Per-Period Metrics in Cost Plan/Budget Plan/Benefit Plan Details grid.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. In the Modern UX, open a project with the Financials module and open one Cost Plan, Budget Plan or Benefit Plan.
  2. Ensure that there is a Per-Period Metric selected, which should show some periods and a Totals column.
  3. Save the current view. Ensure that the current view is not shown in italics.
  4. Move any column that is not related to the Per-Period metrics. The view name will change from "Standard View" (example) to "(Copy) Standard View" in italics.
  5. Save the current view and refresh the page. The column order is maintained.
  6. Move the Totals column that is on the far right of the page.

Expected Results: The view name changes to a new name and turns into italics. When the view is saved, refreshing the page will show the Totals column in the saved position.

Actual Results: The view name does not change as an unsaved view. Even if the view is saved, refreshing the page will show the Totals column in the far right position.

If additional changes are made into the view at the same time the Totals column has been moved, and the view is saved, refreshing the page will keep all the changes, except the Totals column new position, which will again be in the far right.

Environment

Release : 16.0.3

Component : Clarity MUX UI Usability

Cause

The column is pinned to the right.

Resolution

Remove the column pin:

  1. Open a Cost Plan, Budget Plan or Benefit Plan.
  2. The Totals column has two headers (e.g.: Totals and Benefit), like this:
  3. If you hover the mouse over Benefit (or the metric that you are using), a "hamburger" menu (three lines) appears.
  4. Click on it and select Pin Column > No Pin
  5. The column will move out of the right part of the view. Now, you should see your current view name in Italics (unsaved view). Move the column into the desired position and save the view.
