Issue/Introduction

In Classic PPM, a lock is created when a project is opened in OWB or MSP. When looking at the project in Clarity you see an unlock button in the project properties. 

In Modern UX (MUX) you can see that the project is locked, but there is no option to unlock it.

How can we unlock a project in MUX, if it has been locked by a scheduler?

Resolution

Currently, there is no option to unlock a project in Modern UX. The unlock feature has not been implemented in MUX yet.

There is an item on Engineering's backlog to implement the unlock feature in Modern UX. Once this item is reviewed and completed, this knowledge article will be updated accordingly.

What are the options to unlock the project while the feature is implemented?

1. Switch to Classic PPM and unlock it through the project properties button

2. The administrator can remove it from the locks page:

     a. Load the locks page 

     b. Look at the Import Export Locks.

     c. Look for the project ID that is currently locked in MUX

     d. Once located, select the checkbox and click on Clear Locks.
