Create Disk Image Completes Successfully within Seconds

Issue/Introduction

You are trying to capture an image and when assigned the Create Disk Image job to the endpoint, it finished almost immediately with no errors shown.  The image is not created.

Environment

Release : 3.3

 

Cause

Partition Imaging selected in the job using the PCREATE switch in the command line.

Resolution

In this particular case it was noted that the Partition Imaging option was selected.  When selected, it adds the PCREATE switch to the Additional Parameters section.  In this case Partition 1, being the default, was the small boot partition of around 150mb in size.  To resolve this issue, uncheck Partition Imaging.
