What are the various entry modes for CA 7 jobs and what do they mean?

Resolution

Entry mode is used to determine how the job entered the request queue.

There are several ways a job can enter the CA 7 request queue. This document describes the different entry modes that are valid for a job.

ARFJ - Indicates an ARF recovery job
AUTO - Indicates a triggered job
DEMD - Indicates a demanded job
EXTL - Indicates a job submitted external to CA 7
LOAD - Indicates a job record to be loaded (brought in by the LOAD command)
PS - Indicates a job submitted by Personal Scheduling System
RPET - Indicates a repeated job
RUN - Indicates a job brought in by the RUN command
SSCN - Indicates a job record brought in by schedule scan
XDEM - Indicates a job brought in by the DEMAND command from an XPS client
XPS - Indicates a job brought in from an XPS client using the RUN command with the REF option
XRUN - Indicates a job brought in from an XPS client using the RUN command

Note: If a job shows DEM* for the entry mode, this indicates that ARF has detected an exception for the job.

If the job is currently in the Request, Ready or Active queue, you can see the entry mode by using the LQ command. If the job has completed processing, you can get the entry mode by using the LRLOG or LPRRN commands.
