Issue/Introduction

When launching a Ghostcast imaging deployment/capture task from the Ghost Solution Suite console, endpoints may never connect or connect with errors or odd behavior is seen.

This issue affects peer to peer and regular multicasting tasks

Various Ghost errors may be seen including 36000

In at least one example the following error was thrown by ghost and noted in ghosterr.txt

Message: A signal or windows exception occurred

Environment

Ghost Solution Suite 3.3 RU10, possibly RU9 or earlier

Cause

Known issue with Ghostcast only when used/launched by imaging job/task in GSS console

Resolution

There are ghost64.exe and ghost32.exe fixes provided by developers. This is also planned to be fixed in the next release (currently targeted for GSS 3.3 RU11).
