Is it expected the log entries to increase after upgrading TPX from 5.3 to 5.4?

Resolution

Yes, it is expected the log to increase after you upgrade TPX from 5.3 to 5.4, as LOCK/UNLOCK function has been enhanced by adding user credential reverification by security.
Because of that, more entries will be added into the log.

As this enhancement serves multiple purposes, the LOCK/UNLOCK messages cannot be suppressed from the TPX log.
