Issue/Introduction

After some time, the following message begins to appear every so often in the automated_deployment_engine (ADE) probe log:

 

[attach_socket, automated_deployment_engine] An exception occurred while processing a message from Socket[addr=/10.x.x.x,port=xxxx,localport=48xxx].

[attach_socket, automated_deployment_engine] (13) SID has expired, null
 at com.nimsoft.nimbus.NimServerSession$NimServerSessionThread.checkAccessStatus(NimServerSession.java:298)
 at com.nimsoft.nimbus.NimServerSession$NimServerSessionThread.handleMessage(NimServerSession.java:177)
 at com.nimsoft.nimbus.NimServerSession$NimServerSessionThread.run(NimServerSession.java:123)

What does this indicate?

Resolution

This is a benign message.  The probe automatically renews the SID as needed and this is only an informational message to indicate that the previously-issued SID has expired (as expected) after a period of idle time.
