Issue/Introduction

How to self-certify the Cisco C9800-L-F-K9 WLC device, so Spectrum would model as a Wireless LAN Controller device?

Environment

Release : 21.2.x

Component : SPCCRT

Resolution

1. Launch the Device Certification wizard. Select the device's System Object ID in question and click on the Edit button.

2. Supply the following:

• Device Type Name: Cisco C9800-L-F-K9
• Model Type Name: Rtr_Cisco
• Model Class: Auto

3. Save the changes.

4. Delete the existing device model and rediscover it.

5. Once the device is rediscovered, it should be placed under the WLC Manager / Cisco container.
