Issue/Introduction

We need to reboot our DHCP servers by Nimsoft when ever triggering an event id 1016 and 1010. I verified the reboot and ntevl probes but didn't see an option to specify the condition to reboot the server.

Environment

  • Release: 20.3
  • Component: UIM - NTEVL
  • ntevl v4.33

Cause

- Guidance

Resolution

Execute a command based on an event.

Run Command on Match: allows you to run the command when an event matches the selected criteria. When you select this field, Command Executable and Command Arguments are enabled.

Command Executable: specifies the command to execute when an event matches the profile. You can use the Browse button to configure a batch file PATH. Use the absolute path of the batch file.

Command Arguments: defines the parameters that are required for executing the command or the batch file.

Enable the Run Command on Match and configure it to run the batch script with the appropriate permissions.

Test using the latest ntevl GA release version 4.33.
