Updating DB connection for OM Web Viewer 12.1

Issue/Introduction

Installed Web Viewer on a Windows server and need to make sure that is connects to an External SQL database. When the user tried to logon to Web Viewer it failed with message "Invalid user name and password". How do I correct this?

Cause

The userid being used to logon to Web Viewer was not the same that specified during the installation.

Resolution

• The configtool utility has to be executed in order to make sure that Web Viewer will connect to an External SQL database. When the utility is run, it will allow you to set the necessary values under the System Level External Configuration option. Next select the DataBase Settings and you will then be prompt for the necessary databse information. 
• To correct the "Invalid user name and password", please review the WVProfile.properties file for the value specified for parameter "ADMINSTRATION.DefaultAdminID=". If the userid specified is not correct or invalid, you must run the configtool utility again to correct the value. Keep in mind that you will be using the mainframe credentials for this logon. Make sure that this user is the first one to logon to Web Viewer after a new install.
