Does CA Datacom/AD require a licensing (LMP) key and how to get the key?
The CA Datacom/AD product does require a licensing (LMP) key for execution. The CA Datacom/AD LMP key (PROD(AX) is provided with the key(s) for your CA product that is using CA Datacom/AD.
The CA Licensing page is found via the Support.ca.com MENU drop down option "LICENSING". You can check there first to see if your LMP key is already listed for PROD (AX).
If you cannot locate the LMP key or require new license key(s), you can either contact LMP support at (800) 225 5224 (CALL-CAI) option 1 or 2 - or - you can create a new support case for product "Licensing" on Support.ca.com. Note that GLOBAL SERVICE CENTER is the associated CA Product.
You will need to provide LMP support with the CPU model and CPU serial number so that the proper key can be generated for you.
To obtain these details, you can run the command D M=CPU console command.
Note that all LMP keys are provided from CA Licensing (LMP) support and not by the individual CA product support groups.
An attempt to execute the product without an LMP key will terminate with the following error message:
CAS9180E - CPU cpuid REQUIRES A LMP KEY TO RUN PROD (AX)
You may also see an expiration warning if the existing key is near expiration:
CAS9182A - WARNING: LMP key Prod (AX) expires in nnn days.
