Does the LDAP Server functionality changes after adding RADMIN_XTR in slapd.conf from PTF LU03493?

Resolution

The LDAP server functionality doesn't change from a user's point of view after adding adding option RADMIN_XTR in slapd.conf. It uses the same function to display the data as before.

The functionality changes in a way the LDAP gets users from RACF. The new code reduces the use of memory to return all users during a search.

The recommendation is to enable this option if requests are being done for all users at one time, have a lot of users and might possibly run out of memory.

This option is not needed if searches are being done for a subset of all the users.

This option is not enabled by default and is related to RACF only.
