”Failed to update system configuration file” during Endpoint Protection Manager install

Issue/Introduction

When installing SEPM 14.3 RU5 getting the error ”Failed to update system configuration file”:

Environment

SEPM version 14.3 RU5

Cause

There was issue with sql express installation, bcp.exe file was missing and there was one more installation instance at E:\ drive:

Resolution

1. Copy the clientSDK folder from a working SEPM to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server folder

2. Run the Management Configuration Wizard
