Issue/Introduction

Datacom PTF LU06182 has HOLD ACTION to CATALOG recent changes to the DST.

The HOLD DATA  outlines steps 1, 2, 3 and 4. Doesn't one first have to DELETE the definition first from the CXX before the new definition can be CATALOG'ed ?

Environment

Release : 15.1

Component : Datacom/DB

Resolution

There is no need to delete the database first. The steps in the PTF HOLD data are replacing the whole database definition.

Step 2 issues a SYSTEMDBID_DELETE and in Step 3  the BTG1000 member starts with a delete and OBSOLETE to remove the whole database from the dictionary. It then re-adds the whole database with the new updates and catalogs it at the end.
