DLP Discover scan warning: No such mount point exists

Issue/Introduction

The File System Discover scan fails with the following message in the Enforce Console:

Scan started 
Failed to read //<path>; error; No such mount point exists -- p:.
Failed to complete Share: //<path>; error; No such mount point exists -- p:.
Scan Finished

Environment

Data Loss Prevention 15.7.x
Windows 2016

 

Cause

The P Drive on the Discover server is already in use.

Resolution

1. Edit Crawler.properties on the Discover server.
2. Remove the P drive from filesystemcrawler.mount.drive.validletters.windows
   
   Default setting:
   filesystemcrawler.mount.drive.validletters.windows = l:,m:,n:,o:,p:,q:,r:,s:,t:,u:,v:,w:,x:,y:,z:
   
   After removing P:
   filesystemcrawler.mount.drive.validletters.windows = l:,m:,n:,o:,q:,r:,s:,t:,u:,v:,w:,x:,y:,z:
3. Save the file and restart the SymantecDLPDetectionServerService on the Detection Server.
4. Re-run the Discover scan.
