Issue/Introduction

We had OPSMAIN just start and stop, after IPL. We couldn't find any errors or messages, we found that we forgot to update with LPA OPSAEX module. Do we have to copy OPSAEX from CCLXLOAD to our LPALIB? We were wondering if LPA is really needed for OPS/MVS.

Resolution

Putting the module OPSAEX in the LPA is optional. However, if you have this module there, it has to match the release of the OPS subsystem that is running. Having the OPSAEX module from a previous release in the LPA may cause unpredictable results.
