Issue/Introduction

Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) 8.1 以降ではIntelligent Updater によるウイルス定義ファイル更新は行えなくなりました。

Version: 8.1 以降

Cause

Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) 8.1 以降では採用しているコアスキャンエンジン変更にともないウイルス定義ファイルの構造が変わりました。
そのため、Intelligent Updater によるウイルス定義ファイルの更新が行えなくなりました。

Resolution

Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) 8.1 以降ではLiveUpdate によるウイルス定義ファイル更新のみがサポートされます。

Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) がオフライン環境にて運用されている場合、LiveUpdate Administrator を利用することでウイルス定義ファイルを更新することが可能です。
