Issue/Introduction

When a rule defining an IP6 address subnet of 32 in Web VPM it displays 255.255.255.255 instead of /32.

Example:

Create a Web Access layer and set source as IP Address / Subnet and then set the IP address to something like "abcd:abcd::" and then set the prefix length/subnet to 32.  After clicking apply it shows up as:
abcd:abcd::/255.255.255.255 instead of abcd:abcd::/32.

  • The issue is not seen if subnet is set to /40, 48 etc.
  • Do not see the issue in Legacy VPM.
  • Do not see the issue in 7.3.x.

Environment

Duplicated issue on SGOS 6.7.5.18 Web VPM

Resolution

This is a cosmetic defect and has been reported to engineering.  It will not affect desired outcome/behavior.

Additional Information

Example screenshot of rule that has /32 and how it displays incorrectly and the 2nd rule that defines /40 and displays properly.

Notice the CPL output contains the expected information.
