Automation Folders will not install on supported Linux based OS.
The following log file /boot/autoutil.log states: EFI firmware is detected, it is unsupported - unable to continue:
Environment
ITMS 8.6 RU2 and earlier
Cause
The UEFI BIOS mode in Linux is not support in ITMS 8.6 RU2 and earlier.
Resolution
The two options to resolve this issue are to:
Set the BIOS mode to Legacy and then reinstall Supported Linux OS and redeploy the automation folders for Linux and Deployment Solutions for Linux plugin.
Upgrade to ITMS 8.6 RU3 or later as the issues being seen are resolved by importing BDCgpl-<latest-version>-x64.frm into preboot configuration and install automation folders for Linux _x64 and Deployment Solutions for Linux plugin.
NOTE: UEFI is supported in ITMS 8.6 RU3 per the following documentation under "New Deployment Solution Features":
