Order of installation of CA Performance Management

Issue/Introduction

We are building and installing a fresh instance of DXnetops including 

A portal server.

3 data repo servers

A data aggregator 

A data collector.

 

My question is this do they have to be installed portal -> datarepos -> aggregator -> collector. Can we for instance install the collectors and aggregators before the datarepo servers.

Cause

The Data Aggregator depends on the Vertica database on the Data Repository, for installation

The Data Collector depends on the Data Aggregator, for installation

Resolution

Yes, they need to be installed in a specific order;

1. NetOps portal server.

2. Data Repository servers

3. Data Aggregator 

4. Data Collector.
