Risk log of SEP for mac is not sent to manager

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) for mac client does not send risk log to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) in following specific situation.

• SEP for mac detects suspicious files (e.g. Eicar) immediately after install then shut down PC before next heartbeat happens.

Even if this issue happens, next detection of suspicious files in risk log will sent to SEPM properly.

Resolution

Broadcom is aware of this issue and will update this document when a solution becomes available.
