Credit card numbers not detected when magic number is present

Issue/Introduction

A text file with some credit card numbers in it and a magic number (RIFF????WEBP, GIF89a) added at the top of the file, DLP agent does not detect the credit card numbers.

Environment

Release : 15.x

 

Cause

A file having magic number is considered having magic header associated with WebP format. This is considered as not supported for filtering and hence this is expected product behavior.

Resolution

This has been accepted as a product enhancement request and tracked under PM-3863.
