Solaris 10 running XCOM version r11 (11.0) i.e.:
/xcomd -r
xcomd: Unicenter CA-XCOM Data Transport Version r11 0812H SP02 (for SUNLINK v9.1 & BRIXTON)
Follow uninstall steps as per XCOM Data Transport for UNIX/Linux 11.6.1 > Installing > Install Using ISO Conventional Method > Uninstall or Roll Back but we no longer have the Uninstaller on the server.
What are the manual steps for the uninstaller or where can we get a copy of the uninstaller to action the uninstall?
InstallAnywhere was not used for the XCOM for Unix installation prior to 11.5
Therefore for XCOM 11.0 Solaris 10 install there is no Uninstaller directory with Uninstaller script.
There is a "Getting Started (for AIX, HP-UX, and Sun Solaris)" 11.0 guide on the Broadcom techdocs legacy page for "CA XCOM Data Transport":
The j025631e.pdf has Chapter 5 "Installing and Upgrading for Sun Solaris" with the "Upgrading" section starting on page 5–4.
It includes steps for
So the "Upgrading" section steps can be used on the 11.0 install to shutdown XCOM, backup the relevant files and then uninstall it.
"Saving Files" in the pdf refers to directory "/usr/spool" for some files compared to "/var/spool" in the section "Back Up Files" on the current doc page: XCOM Data Transport for UNIX/Linux 11.6.1 > Installing > Install Using ISO Conventional Method > Upgrade from Release 11.0.
However on Solaris 10 /usr/spool is just a symbolic link to /var/spool, so effectively the same directory.
See other chapters in j025631e.pdf for AIX and HP-UX.
