Issue/Introduction

Certificate Management page fails to open with error: Message from webpage. The data could not be loaded.

Eventually, it shows the generic error page

Cause

Issue with the IIS and ASP.NET app pool

Resolution

Restart the IIS. In this case we had to restart it more than once.

Other things to check:

If after restarting the IIS issue is not resolved, check the page which is not being shown under IIS. In this example, based on the error it is '/Altiris/NS/Admin/Configuration/CertificateManagementPage.aspx'. make sure the .aspx exist.
