Is TPX 5.3 compatible with z/OS versions 2.4 and 2.5?
Please note that z/OS 2.4 is available as of September 2019, and the current version, 2.5, was released on Sept. 30, 2021.
On the other hand, TPX v5.3 went out of support on February 28, 2018. See CA TPX Session Management for z/OS 5.3 End of Service Announcement.
In other words, TPX 5.3 went out of support before those new z/OS versions were released, meaning it hasn't been tested/certified on the new z/OS releases and its compatibility is uncertain.
It is recommended to upgrade TPX to the newest version (5.4) before upgrading z/OS to avoid issues or unavailability.
The compatibility of TPX 5.4 with z/OS releases is documented at the TPX for z/OS Compatibility Matrix (scroll to 'z/OS Compatibility Matrix')..
