This document explains how to start CA 7 r11.3 after reallocating or moving queue files or the checkpoint data set. Also, reasons are given for receiving CA-7.947 - ERROR READING CHECKPOINT ID RECORD or CA-7.926 I/O ERROR OR UNEXPECTED EOD ON QUEUE xxxxxxxx - U0926 or CA-7.710 I/O ERROR IN xxx QUEUE.
Release 11.3 only
If you are starting CA 7 r11.3 for the first time a FORM type start is required. If you are reallocating or moving the CA 7 r11.3 queue files or checkpoint data set, a FORM (or MOVQ if you have done a successful DMPQ type shutdown) type start is required. If you get any of the messages CA-7.947, CA-7.926 or CA-7.710 when starting CA 7 after the reallocation, be sure that you put the type of start on the start command:
S CA7ONL,TYPE=FORM (if you are starting CA 7 for the first time)
S CA7ONL,TYPE=MOVQ (Warning: use only if you have done a shutdown with a DMPQ option. )
If there is a TYPE= in the CA 7 online procedure, the value on the start command or hard coded in this parameter will be used. The CA 7 Initialization File (pointed to by the UCC7IN DD statement in the CA 7 online procedure) has a TYPE= on the INIT statement, but if there is a TYPE= designated in the CA 7 procedure or on the start command, it will take precedence.
NOTE: These procedure is for CA 7 r11.3 and lower release levels.
