How do I enable Java Console logging for debugging issues with the AAI thick client?

Environment

Release : 6.4.2-2

Component : AUTOMIC AUTOMATION INTELLIGENCE INTEGRATION FOR AUTOSYS

Resolution

On Windows

1. Open Windows Control Panel and search for and open "Java".

On Mac go to System Settings -> "Java".

 

2. On the "Advanced" tab, select "Enable tracing", "Enable logging", and "Show Console" and click OK

 

3. Launch the AAI thick client and you should see a pop up Window with the Java Console logging. 

 

 

4. In order to see the desired logging reproduce whatever issue that you are having in the thick client and the logging should show in the thick client and it will allow you to copy it.
