After migrating clients from Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) to Symantec Endpoint Security (SES) the network is interrupted for many connections.
Windows reports: "The device is configured correctly but the DNS server it's connected to isn't responding."
Release : 14.3 GA
The migration was done by using the command-line to switch the SEP client from SEPM managed to SES cloud managed. The SEP clients version 14.3 GA does not support this migration. When the migration occurred with this older version, this issue appeared.
Upgrade the clients to 14.3 RU1 or later before migrating the clients to SES. If the migrating already occurred, upgrade the now SES managed client to 14.3 RU1 or later to resolve the issue.
Alternatively you can uninstall the 14.3 GA version and install the new SES package with a supported version.
