ACF2 ACF2 - DB2 Option ACF2 - z/OS ACF2 - MISC

Issue/Introduction

1.  If the MINPSWD is increased from 5 to 8, or change NOPSWDALPH to PSWDALPH, or make other changes to the password requirements, does every user have to change his or her password immediately to conform to the new requirements? Will their current passwords still be valid?

2.  If the current PSWDMAX setting is decreased from 120 days to 90 days,  and a user's last password change is between the 90 and 120 days, will the user be forced to change their password immediately following the change?

Environment

Release:
Component: ACF2MS

Resolution

1.  Changes to the GSO PSWD record options have no effect on existing passwords during the current logon. They remain valid.

2.  Yes, and users with the last password change between 90 and 120 days will have to change their password at next logon.

Any changes to the PSWD record will only take affect the next time the user logs on to the system.
