21.0 RA OEBS agent won't start, throws U02000383 Web socket connection closed with status code '1000 (disconnect)'

Issue/Introduction

During upgrade to 21.0, the OEBS agent comes back with the following errors:

U02000384 Web socket is connected.
U02000004 Connection to Server 'AUTOMIC#CP003' successfully created.
U02000075 CP Cerver 'AUTOMIC#CP003' has '1' client connections.
U02000401 Received JCP server list: 'https://servername:8443/'
U02000297 Agent doesn't have valid certificate, requesting new one from server.
U00029407 Public key mismatch in CSR request from Agent: 'RA_OEBS'
U02000041 Shutdown Agent 'RA_OEBS'.
U02000383 Web socket connection closed with status code '1000 (disconnect)'
U02000002 Agent 'RA_OEBS' version 21.0.2+build.31 ended abnormally.

Resolution

Doublecheck the compatibility for the specific solution being used - for example, the RA OEBS solution Java being used was originally Oracle Java 11.0.9 - only Oracle Java 8 is compatible with the OEBS solution.  Due to the error: 

U00029407 Public key mismatch in CSR request from Agent: 'RA_OEBS'

The agent public key should be reset via the AWI:

  1. Login as an administrator user
  2. Navigate to the Administration perspective
  3. Go to the Agents panel
  4. Right-click on the agent throwing the error and choose "Reset agent public key"
