This article answers the question whether users connected to endpoints via any primary server will experience session timeouts

Environment

Any PAM version

Resolution

Users logged in into an appliance that goes down will lose their session. When connecting via the VIP the session is redirected to the chosen server and all traffic goes to that server from that point on. If that server goes down the sessions are NOT re-routed & the user would need to login again.
