Issue/Introduction

Will users that are logged in via the primary server experience session timeouts?

Environment

Any PAM version

Resolution

Yes, users logged into an appliance that goes down will lose the session. When you connect via the VIP your session is re-directed to the chosen server and all traffic goes to that server from that point on. If that server goes down the sessions are NOT re-routed & the user would need to login again.
