WP and CP fail to start after entering the new encoded password : FATAL: password authentication failed for user

Issue/Introduction

WP and CP processes are failing to start after entering the new encoded password in the ucsrv.ini file.

Error message in the log:

U00011849 UC4_sys_info: 'Buildnr: 1615902993074  Changelist: 1614854010'
U00003545 UCUDB: Opening database ...
SQLException occurred while connecting to <servername>:5432
Connection error: 
U00003611 DB OPEN executed. Return Code = '1'
U00045014 Exception 'org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: "FATAL: password authentication failed for user "automic""' at 'org.postgresql.core.v3.ConnectionFactoryImpl.doAuthentication():475'.
U00003620 Routine 'com.automic.database.api.DBException' forces trace because of error.
U00003450 The TRACE file was opened with the switches '0000000000000000'.
U00003449 Output to the TRACE file is finished.
U00032031 Error when connecting to Database

Cause

The issue is related to the two hypens at the beginning of the encoded password. 

Resolution

Please manually enter the two hypens in the encoded password instead of copying and paste them into the ucsrv.ini file.
